
Humayoon Chakhansuri
Founder & CEO, Fyza Education Institute
Humayoon Chakhansuri is a program, project, and operations management professional with more than 16 years of experience across international development, donor-funded programs, and complex environments. His career includes extensive experience with the World Bank Group, spanning program and portfolio management, project delivery, operations, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.
A Fulbright Scholar, he holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the University of Akron in the United States and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Kardan University in Afghanistan.
In November 2021, following the restrictions that prevented Afghan girls from continuing their education beyond Grade 6, Humayoon founded Fyza Education with a simple purpose: to help girls continue learning despite the barriers placed in their way.
As Founder and CEO, he leads the program's development and partnerships, working to expand access to free, structured online education and create pathways for students to continue their studies and pursue recognised qualifications.
His vision for Fyza Education is clear: education should remain within reach for every girl, regardless of the circumstances around her.

Lina Zahid Sayar is a senior community services professional with more than two decades of experience in child protection, family services, operational management, and team leadership in Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Western Sydney and has extensive experience leading child protection teams within the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. She also works as a Child Protection Consultant for Afghan families, delivering child protection training to Afghan communities and stakeholders. As an Independent Director of Fyza Education, she brings valuable expertise in child protection, safeguarding, community engagement, and organizational oversight.
Muhammad Ahsan is a Sydney-based Human Resources professional with extensive experience across Australia and internationally. His expertise includes workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and workplace governance. He holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and is a Certified HR Business Partner and DEIB Specialist. As an Independent Director of Fyza Education, he provides independent guidance and supports the program’s governance, people management, and organizational development.
Zainab Yazdani is an educator and education manager with nearly a decade of experience. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Pune, India, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
At Fyza Education, she teaches Mathematics and Physics and serves as Head of Program Operations, overseeing day-to-day operations and coordinating the program’s partnership with Education Bridge for Afghanistan (EBA).

Mansoor Ahmadzai

Mansoor Ahmadzai is an education management professional with extensive experience in higher education, academic development, quality assurance, accreditation, and student support. His professional background includes senior roles with Afghanistan’s Higher Education Development Program and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), where he supported academic programs and scholarship opportunities for students.
As Head of Student Affairs at Fyza Education, he supports student engagement, academic progress, and coordination to help students make the most of their educational opportunities.
